Bring your kiddos to church decked out in their favorite pair of PJ’s. They can also bring a small blanket & stuffed animal with them if that’s their style! Village teachers & parents are invited to wear their pajamas, too…if they’re feeling brave.

The NEST Summer Happenings

The NEST women’s ministry is offering two book club meetings as well as a luncheon this summer!

Book Club #1: Gift From the Sea

Women can begin reading the book now. Then we’ll meet on June 24th to discuss the book with Dara Scheer will be leading & hosting! Here’s a briefsummary:

“Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s classic Gift from the Sea helps women contemplate how to live a simple life in the midst of a complicated world. Take a virtual vacation this summer as we ponder Lindbergh’s thoughts on such topics as love, marriage, the work of the mother, friendship, the creative life, simplicity, solitude, generosity, communion, youth & age, all through the metaphor of beautiful seashells found on a quiet island.”

Book Club #2: Twelve Extraordinary Women

This book club will take place in August, with location and details TBA. Here’s a brief summary:

“They were ordinary, common & in some cases shockingly low-caste, yet each was made extraordinary by her life-changing encounter with God. Readers will be challenged & motivated by Twelve Extraordinary Women, a poignant & personal look into the lives of some of the Bible’s most faithful women. Their struggles & temptations are the same trials faced by all believers at all ages. Inside this book, best-selling author & Bible teacher John MacArthur shows that the God to whom they were so committed is the same God who continues to mold & use ordinary people today.”

The NEST Summer Luncheon

The NEST hosts a luncheon at Olive Garden (Concord Mills) on July 17th @ 12:00pm right after church.
