About Us
Christ Point is a non-denominational Bible church located in north Charlotte off of Ridge Rd and I-485. Our purpose is to point people to Jesus. We passionately pursue our purpose as a church by encountering the life-transforming power of the Word of God, experiencing authentic community, establishing a culture of joyful service, and engaging all people.
In 2020, after the coronavirus left us without a regular meeting space, Christ Point began meeting in a…barn! In 2021, through the sheer kindness of God, Christ Point was able to purchase 6.5 acres of land off of Ridge Road in the middle of a fast-growing area of our community. We’ve been blown away by the opportunities that God has given to us to live our purpose in this community and are thoroughly convinced that the best is yet to come.
Our History
Back in 2007, a group of 5 couples decided to start a church reaching the NE Charlotte /Concord area. We read an article in the Charlotte Observer that asked readers to describe Charlotte in six words or less. One person said, “Where Buffalo comes to get warm.” Another said, “Too many drivers, too few highways.” But the one that struck us was, “Plenty of churches, so little soul.” Our city needed an awakening. Renaissance Bible Church was born with the hope of waking the soul of suburbia.
In 2018 Renaissance began praying about what God would have for us in the days ahead. Through much prayer and godly counsel, the leadership felt God clarifying a vision in us to point people to Jesus. We wanted our name to reflect our purpose. So, in 2018 Renaissance Bible Church became Christ Point Church. We’re excited about what God has in store for Christ Point. We invite you to be a part of what God is doing in the days ahead.
