Ministries exist to accomplish
Christ Point Kids
Christ Point kids exists to partner with families in Pointing Kids to Jesus! On Sunday mornings we have an awesome team of volunteers who joyfully serve our children from infants to 5th grade. Our children experience authentic community on Sunday mornings as they worship, pray and learn God’s word together. Our Preschool Classes follow Orange Curriculum and our Elementary classes follow the Gospel Project. Each area offers the most age appropriate activities and lessons that allow all ages of children to encounter the life changing word of God!
We like to spend time with our church family together in community. Throughout the year we have gatherings at fun locations in Charlotte, monthly Family Worship Services and opportunities for families to serve together.
Christ Point Students
Christ Point Students exists to partner with families to point students to Jesus! On Sunday mornings, we gather to read and encounter the life changing word of God. We do so in large and small groups which allows students a chance to listen and to be heard. Students are using the Gospel Project curriculum to guide them through the entire Bible over the course of three years. Students also gather for fun activities and service projects so that they can experience authentic community. Students; come join us! We can’t wait to meet you!
Christ Point Small Groups
At Christ Point, one of the ways we point people to Jesus is by experiencing authentic community. Small groups are a great way of experiencing biblical community. We study the Word, pray, and share life together. The Christian life is not a solo sport, so we encourage our people to walk together in groups.
Christ Point Women
Christ Point Women’s Ministry exists to point women to Jesus through discipleship and community. We do that through encountering the transforming power of the word of God through both day and evening Bible studies. We invite women to experience authentic community through annual retreats and thoughtful gatherings. We want to be women who use our gifts to give back both within our church and in our community. We strive to be a place where all women can find a sense of belonging and feel valued and known.
Beginning the week of September 14, the Women’s Ministry will be offering three options to get together and study God’s Word. Each group will have the option of participants attending in person or over Zoom. Location will be determined by participants. We are unable to provide childcare at this time.

The fall is a busy season typically, but this year it feels like a lot. Virtual school, working from home or commuting, medical and financial concerns, balancing all those plates at once. We had originally planned some studies for this fall, but there was little turnout, because right now it’s hard to commit. We hear you, and so we will pivot for this season.
This fall, CP Women will have some low-commitment opportunities to get outside, get in God’s word, and get to know each other better. We will also continue with regular Zoom prayer times. We hope these offerings will be an uplifting time for you, a chance to slow down and connect with the Lord and a few ladies, to take a breath and remember that God is always working. Come to one, or come to all, sign up now or last minute, whatever your schedule and energy level allow.
Keep an eye out for a Sign Up Genius for the in-person get togethers, but in the meantime, here is a quick rundown of the options:
- Zoom prayer, recurring, every other Friday, 7-8am, starting October 2. (also Saturday September 19, 9am)
- Driveway Dinners at Heidi Karant’s (Davidson), recurring, every other Tuesday, 6-7:30pm, starting September 29. Bring your dinner and a chair.
- Hike at Lake Norman State Park (Troutman) on Saturday October 3, 10am. Bring a lunch and water. We will follow Lake Shore Trail, which has options for shorter and longer hikes.
- Coffee Hour at Ramsey Creek Park (Cornelius) on Saturday October 17, 10am. Bring your coffee and a chair.
- Saturday Stroll at Veteran’s Park (Kannapolis) on Saturday October 31, 10 am. Bring water and your walking shoes.
We are praying for you, ladies. May God’s promise in Deuteronomy 31:8 be an encouragement to you today: “It is the Lord who goes goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Christ Point Men
At Christ Point we are passionate about discipling men to become more like Jesus and be spiritual leaders in their homes, in the church and in their work. We accomplish this mission through Bible study, mentoring and accountability, service and outreach events, retreats, mission trips and social gatherings. We take seriously Paul’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 16 for men to “stand firm in the faith, be watchful and strong, act like men and do everything in love.”
The Men’s Group started back up Wednesday. They will be looking at what God’s Word says about JUSTICE. This is a great opportunity to connect with other men, pray together and be in the Word together.
Wednesday mornings at 6am

Christ Point Worship
The worship ministry at Christ Point exists to Point people to Jesus. There is no more important way to use your musical skills than leading God’s people into worship. Our worship teams are comprised of musicians who possess not only God given talent but also hearts that desire to lead our people to surrender to God.
Christ Point Sound/Visual
The Sound/Visual Team points others to Jesus by enhancing the sound/visual aspects of worship ministry and transformational teaching by effectively presenting slides, video, and message notes during the service or special events.
Christ Point GO Team (Missions)
We partner with organizations globally and domestically by developing deep, intentional, and long-lasting relationships in order to point people to Jesus and make a gospel impact over time. In addition, we host Christ Point GO events like mission trips, and church-wide GO days, so that our people can experience and serve and further the missions of our strategic partners together. At Christ Point we believe a focused approach, while limiting the number of GO partnerships we have, allows us to be the most strategic.
Christ Point Impact Team
Whether you’re a first time guest or a regular attender, our Impact Team exists to point people to Jesus by providing a warm welcome, a Christ Point connection and a gracious goodbye. Our focus is creating a welcoming environment to make it easy for you to take your next step. If you have questions about the church or need help in knowing where to go, an Impact Team member will be waiting to serve you.
