Missions

We believe that followers of Jesus are by nature a people on the move. On Sundays, we gather to scatter.

We long to engage with people within our own walls, our community, and the world. This model isn’t new to us. In fact, when the church began God called a people to proclaim His message in their own backyard, in their larger community, and to the very ends of the earth. The ripple effect of God’s call is still being felt today.

At Christ Point, we partner with organizations both locally and globally. Our desire is to develop a few deep, intentional, and long-lasting relationships to point people to Jesus and make a gospel impact over time. We recognize that we can’t be everywhere and give to everyone, so we are internally strategic in our partnerships. We partner through prayer, financial gifts, and hands-on ministry opportunities.

Locally, we host church-wide serve days so that our people can experience and serve in practical and tangible ways. This could look like sending hundreds of shoeboxes filled with the gift of the gospel to children around the world through Operation Christmas Child. Or it could mean partnering alongside a ministry like One7 in Charlotte ministering to the refugee community in our city or filling up food pantry shelves.

In addition to local opportunities, we also have opportunities to serve overseas. We believe that God is a global God and is doing good work in the world. Each year we partner with Children’s Impact Network to send a team to Honduras to share the good news of Jesus.

At Christ Point, we believe a focused approach both locally and globally best benefits our ministry partners and our people. It’s our joy to engage with people locally and globally as we seek to point people to Jesus.
