Team #3 has returned from their service in Honduras full of stories of how God worked through their work and in their hearts! This Sunday, Team 3 will be sharing what God accomplished during their time in Honduras.
The pre-service coffee table is also getting in on the act. The team brought back premium Honduran coffee to share!
GONE = Good of Our Neighbor Event
The gospel is not only good news to be believed with the mind but to be lived out—the gospel has hands and feet. At Christ Point, we believe God has called us to be intentional about meeting immediate practical needs with the ultimate goal of meeting eternal spiritual needs. We do this both in a local and global sense for the sake of His name.
On Sunday, July 30th, Christ Point will be taking Christ’s love to the streets of China Grove. Main Street Mission of China Grove helps those in need in southern Rowan County by providing supplemental food assistance, informing and educating the community and those in need and providing other services that address the changing needs of the community. Much as we do for the Cabarrus Women’s Center, our teams will go in and work around the building and property providing much-needed facility support.
To prepare our hearts and come together as a church before our mission on Sunday morning, we encourage you to sign up for a Neighborhood Dinner the evening before on Saturday, July 29th. At these dinners, we gather in homes to share fellowship, a meal and prayer for our work the following day. Pastor James makes a cameo appearance via video to encourage us with about a 10-minute reminder of why we do what we do during these GONE Sundays.
UPDATED INFORMATION: We are also asking that you consider donating back-to-school supplies for the families that Main Street Mission supports. You can bring them this Sunday, July 23rd and we will have a table where you can leave them. You can also bring the donations to the GONE Sunday AM service project! Needed supplies include: Loose Leaf Paper, Pencil Pouches, Pencils, Pens, Glue Sticks, Scissors, Crayons, Markers, 3-Ring Binders, Composition Notebooks and Bookbags (small and larger). Thanks, Ren!
So… grab your calendar, circle the dates and click on the links below to sign up for BOTH the Saturday Neighborhood Dinner of your choice and ALSO a work shift for the Sunday morning project at Main Street Mission of China Grove. Ren will provide breakfast for the early shifts and lunch for the later shift. Childcare will also be provided onsite.

This upcoming Sunday will be the Honduras Recap during the main service! The team is back and ready to share. Our Elementary Kids will attend service with their parents this weekend instead of in the Village so they can also hear about this awesome mission trip. Especially since so many Renegade students went to Honduras!
If you have children in the Nursery or Preschool class, please check your kids in as you normally would and bring them to their classrooms. Our super awesome leaders will be ready to love them and teach them about Jesus!
The Gathering Launches August 13th!
We’re excited for The Gathering to launch on Sunday, August 13th (9:00-10:00 am)! We’ll be offering groups for adults to connect with fellow Ren folks and study topics of interest. And we promise the coffee will be hot!
Stay tuned for details concerning the upcoming group studies!
The NEST would like to bless our growing families the next few weeks at Ren by building a “Diapers and Wipes” basket for each of our “Soon To Be” Moms. If you would like to participate, please bring in diapers, wipes, or gift cards with you to church over the next few Sundays. There will be a basket near the gym doors for you to leave your gifts. We will be collecting through the month of July.
