Christ Point Women

The NEST women’s ministry exists to help women connect in three ways: through the study of Godʼs Word, service projects, and social activities and events.

…the word of our God will stand forever. (Is. 40:8) Godʼs Word, the Bible, is our main focus. We believe the more we know and understand His Word, the more we know God Himself. We currently offer both a daytime and evening Bible study. Childcare is offered during the daytime study for a fee.

…serve others, faithfully administering Godʼs grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10) We donʼt want to be a Bible study group that studies the Bible solely to gain knowledge. As our love for Jesus grows, so should our desire to serve. In the past we have packed boxes at Operation Christmas Child and helped single moms get on their feet. Our goal is to expand this aspect of WOR and have one service project for every Bible study we do.

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Prov. 17:22) Itʼs a fact that laughter is good for us! We plan one or two events a semester that are purely fun and relational. These events are also a great way of introducing other women to Christ Point Church in a non- threatening environment.

So whether you join us for Bible study, an outreach or a casual dinner, we want you to feel connected!

Women’s Groups:

• Wednesday evening: Book of Romans (12-week study) led by Shaundra Baskin. Starting Jan 23rd at 6:30 pm.  Concord area. No childcare provided.
• Thursday morning: Book of Romans (12-week study) co-lead by Heidi Karant & Emily Haynes. Starting Jan 24th at the West Cabarrus Y at 9:30 am. Childcare will be provided.
• Thursday afternoon: Using the Psalms as their guide, women will focus on reflection, connection, and prayer. Co-led by Misty Lawrence and Jessica Carter. Highland Creek area. Group meets twice monthly from 4:00-5:15. Childcare is provided
