I Want No More

I spend way too much time wanting what I don’t have, but when I think about it, I have everything I need. We have been given so much. So what if we could say, “I want no more” and actually mean it? In many places in the world the wants of many children are actual needs. What if we decided to do something about it? Recently, I asked a local leader in Honduras, “What is the Honduran dream?” He said, “To leave.” What if it was our dream to go? In July a group of committed volunteers will head to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to:

 

  • Continue to build a life center that will house abandoned and forgotten children. These children are being raised by house parents who are providing long-term care emotionally, spiritually, physically, and intellectually.
  • Work alongside local leaders to distribute food to impoverished families in local villages.
  • Partner with leaders, pastors, and an amazing organization (cinonline.org) who will continue the work in the villages long after we’re gone.
