Christ Point Events
Important Dates
You’re invited to a souper supper in the Chapel from 6-8pm on Friday, January 10th! Let’s gather to enjoy a warm bowl of soup as we cultivate community and learn about the various ways to connect with other women at Christ Point this spring. Sign up to bring 6-8 servings of your favorite soup, bread or salad to share. And bring the recipe to pass along!
Jan 16 | 9:30-11:30am | Revelation Bible Study
We will resume our study of the book of Revelation on January 16th. This is a 10 week study by Jen Wilkin BUT we’ve slowed the pace down in order to better digest it. So, we’ve done the first 5 weeks of the study book during the fall and will complete the final 5 weeks during the spring semester. This is such an incredibly rich book of the Bible and even if you weren’t able to join us in the fall (or weren’t able to join us every week), there’s still time to participate in the study and discover what God has to show you!
Jan 23 | 7-8:30pm | Untangle Your Emotions Study
Married Couples – If you are looking to reconnect and thrive in your marriage, you are invited to this small group led by Norm and Laura Galey. The group will meet for six weeks at Norm and Laura’s home to walk through The Art of Marriage curriculum from FamilyLife Ministries. Space is limited (3 couples each season) so sign up today!
Art of Marriage Curriculum
We all crave “the good stuff” in our marriages: resiliency, forgiveness, selflessness and all the rest. But how do we practice perfect love in our imperfect marriages? Essential aspects of God’s love are illuminated in Art of Marriage, a small group curriculum that brings God’s example into practical application through six 30-minute sessions. Cost is $25 which includes His & Her Workbooks.

CP Women – We exist to point people to Jesus! We do that through encountering the life transforming power of God’s Word, experiencing authentic community, joyfully serving together and engaging all people. There are opportunities to connect and point others to Jesus through each one of our core values in the coming months! Follow the links included below for details and to sign up.
Revelation Study | Thursday mornings this fall
CP Men | Wednesdays 6 am | Thursdays 6 pm | CP House, 4301 Ridge Rd |One of the ways we point people to Jesus at Christ Point is by experiencing authentic community. We don’t experience community without intentionally pursuing it. Join other men from Christ Point as we meet to connect, pray for one another and study God’s Word together. Beginning this week, our Wednesday morning group will meet at the CP House at 6am, and the Thursday group will continue to meet there on Thursdays at 6pm.You’re invited to join us weekly or as often as your schedule permits. Questions?
- Wednesday group contact Andy Pohl at (205) 267-2003
- Thursday group contact James Metsger at (704) 644-9939
The Gathering Hour Bible Study | Sundays 9am | The study resumes October 22nd at 9am in a new location! We will meet at the CP House (4301 Ridge Rd) as we continue studying the books of the Prophets. We’ve had great discussions regarding Judah’s idolatry, God’s judgement and faithfulness to His people, and our response as 21st century Christians. Each week we recap what we’ve learned so far so you can jump in at any time and not feel left behind. You may sign up to attend or simply show up and join us as we “become acquainted with God’s Word which is able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:15

Women’s Bible Study | Our Thursday morning Bible study will resume in September! Check out this video of Jill explaining why we chose to study Revelation. The book of Revelation often feels inaccessible and intimidating, but if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Join us as we dive deep into the final book of the Bible in this 10 week study by Jen Wilkin! We will meet at the CP House (4301 Ridge Rd) on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am. Cost for the study book is $25. Details and sign up can be found here.

Join Together in Prayer
As you’re praying for our church and community, would you join together to pray for our ministry partners? We have partnered with YoungLife, Uncharted Ministries, and Children’s Impact Network. Each of these ministries has been greatly impacted by the effects of COVID-19. They are all having to make major adjustments to how they minister to people. Pray that they will continue bringing the hope of Jesus to the people. Pray for their financial support to continue. Pray for God to make a way to reach lost people. Pray for their own walk with God to be strengthened. Pray for health. Pray for hope. You can read about each of these ministries here.
