Meeting Sundays   –   10:30   –   Oehler’s Barn 4503 Ridge Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269   – 704.838.5350

If you have served on any team for the past year, Christ Point wants to show you just how much you’re appreciated by throwing you a banquet! Well, a luncheon at least. On Sunday, November 19th immediately following the service, we would like to invite you to the Williams Room (right down the hall) so you and your family can enjoy lunch on us. (For any kiddos 5th grade and under, we will have separate child care provided and we’ll give them lunch as well so you can sit back and enjoy the celebration of you!)

Please register so we know how many of our awesome volunteers we need to plan for– and we’re hoping for each and every one!

In the immortal words of Cher… If we could turn back time…  But wait! We can! Don’t forget to adjust your clocks back one hour Saturday night so you won’t miss an extra hour’s sleep before joining your RenFamily for Sunday morning awesomeness at 9:00 for The Gathering and 10:30 for our service.  See you then!

After every baby boom comes a Baby Dedication Sunday!  If you are interested in having your little one dedicated on Sunday, November 12th, please contact Pastor James at James@Christ Point.org.

Ho, Ho Ho!  ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT TO PLACE YOUR WREATH ORDER! It’s not too early to start thinking about decorating your home and purchasing gifts. Christ Point is offering you an opportunity to do both and raise money for Jesus at the same time!

We are offering live wreaths, garland and centerpieces from Sherwood Forest Farms in upstate Washington.  You place your order, then 10-14 days following Thanksgiving they arrive on your doorstep ready for display in your home.  These are also wonderful gift items for out-of-state family.

Here is the link for you to view the items for sale and place an online order:  Christ Point Wreaths for Honduras.

All proceeds will benefit Christ Point’s GO FUND earmarked for sending our folks on the 2018 Summer Mission Trip to Honduras to work with Children Impact Network at their Honduras Life Center. If you or a family member are contemplating going on this mission trip, you can pass this information along and the profit generated from anyone who orders from you will go into your account!  No worries, if you don’t end up going, the funds will go into the general Honduras GO FUND to help others.

Questions? Contact Denise Long @ Denise@Christ Point.org. There will also be a table at the back of the gym following Sunday’s service to answer any questions and to also accept orders.

Christ Point Bible Church partners with and supports Main Street Mission in China Grove, NC and we have an amazing opportunity to do even more to support their mission. Many of you served with us for our recent GONE service project where we helped spruce up their facility.  We don’t want to stop there!

Main Street Mission offers Christmas to those who struggle financially, helping to alleviate stress on families. Their Classic Christmas Shoppe allows parents to make better use of their means to provide necessities, while not missing out on the joy of Christmas giving.  Yet, how we do this is very important. While offering gifts that we choose, purchase and deliver may feel really good for the giver, it may come at a great cost for the recipient.  Having the opportunity to make an exchange, to do their part and to choose their own gifts for their children preserves dignity for families in need.  The gift of dignity is truly the best gift we could ever give someone.

This year, the Classic Christmas Shoppe will be open at the South Rowan YMCA for 3 days: Dec. 7, 8 and 9 this year (with set up days on Dec. 5 and 6).  We hope to make it even more like a real store experience so that our neighbors truly feel like they are shopping (just like we do) for Christmas.

You can imagine such an undertaking will require helpers! If you are looking for a community service project for your family this Christmas season, please consider signing up to volunteer with the Classic Christmas Shoppe.  Here is the link:  Sign Up to Serve

If you’re unable to volunteer your time at the Shoppe itself, we’ve got you covered as well.  Main Street Mission is accepting donations of new items that can be placed in the Shoppe. For each Sunday in November, a member of our GONE Team will be collecting items at the back of the gym.

Our new “Tackling the Tough Stuff” series continues this week, Sunday, November 5th! This series explores how we as the Church can navigate difficult topics in our world today in a way that honors God, stands for truth and shows love to our neighbors. Topics covered include politics and religion (October 29th), sexual ethics (November 5th) and racial reconciliation (November 12th).

We’re inviting parents of high schoolers to bring their students along with them for all three weeks of this series. Parents of middle school students are also invited to bring their students along for Week 2 (November 5th) and Week 3 (November 12th). We recognize that the topics being addressed are difficult to navigate for adults, let alone teenagers. Here at Ren, our desire is to partner with parents to prepare their teens to begin processing how to discuss these topics with their family and friends both inside and outside the Church. We want Ren to be a safe place for parents & teens alike to gather together to ask difficult questions, grow in our knowledge of God’s Word and pursue truth as we reach out to our friends and neighbors together. If you have any questions, please email info@christpoint.com. We’re excited to tackle these topics with all of you!

On November 5th and November 12th, our student ministry will join the adults upstairs at 9:00 a.m. for Part 2 (Sexual Identity) and Part 3 (Racial Reconciliation) of the “Tackling the Tough Stuff” series. Middle schoolers will also have the option of watching a movie downstairs in the Sullivan Room.

Parents, please pray about having your student join you for this series that helps us consider how to navigate difficult topics in our world today in a God-honoring way. Check out the series description above.
