Meeting Sundays   –   10:30   –   Oehler’s Barn 4503 Ridge Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269   – 704.838.5350

If you have served on any team for the past year, Christ Point wants to show you just how much you’re appreciated by throwing you a banquet! Well, a luncheon at least. On Sunday, November 19th immediately following the service, we would like to invite you to the Williams Room (right down the hall) so you and your family can enjoy lunch on us. (For any kiddos 5th grade and under, we will have separate child care provided and we’ll give them lunch as well so you can sit back and enjoy the celebration of you!)

Please register so we know how many of our awesome volunteers we need to plan for– and we’re hoping for each and every one!

Our new “Tackling the Tough Stuff” series continues this week, Sunday, November 5th (Racial Reconciliation)! This series explores how we as the Church can navigate difficult topics in our world today in a way that honors God, stands for truth and shows love to our neighbors. Topics we’ve covered the last couple of weeks included politics and religion and sexual ethics.

We’re inviting parents of high schoolers and middle schoolers to bring their students along for Week 3 (Racial Reconciliation) We recognize that the topics being addressed are difficult to navigate for adults, let alone teenagers. Here at Ren, our desire is to partner with parents to prepare their teens to begin processing how to discuss these topics with their family and friends both inside and outside the Church. We want Ren to be a safe place for parents & teens alike to gather together to ask difficult questions, grow in our knowledge of God’s Word and pursue truth as we reach out to our friends and neighbors together. If you have any questions, please email info@christpoint.com. We’re excited to tackle these topics with all of you!

Christ Point Bible Church partners with and supports Main Street Mission in China Grove, NC and we have an amazing opportunity to do even more to support their mission. Many of you served with us for our recent GONE service project where we helped spruce up their facility.  We don’t want to stop there!

Main Street Mission offers Christmas to those who struggle financially, helping to alleviate stress on families. Their Classic Christmas Shoppe allows parents to make better use of their means to provide necessities, while not missing out on the joy of Christmas giving.  Yet, how we do this is very important. While offering gifts that we choose, purchase and deliver may feel really good for the giver, it may come at a great cost for the recipient.  Having the opportunity to make an exchange, to do their part and to choose their own gifts for their children preserves dignity for families in need.  The gift of dignity is truly the best gift we could ever give someone.

This year, the Classic Christmas Shoppe will be open at the South Rowan YMCA for 3 days: Dec. 7, 8 and 9 this year (with set up days on Dec. 5 and 6).  We hope to make it even more like a real store experience so that our neighbors truly feel like they are shopping (just like we do) for Christmas.

You can imagine such an undertaking will require helpers! If you are looking for a community service project for your family this Christmas season, please consider signing up to volunteer with the Classic Christmas Shoppe.  Here is the link:  Sign Up to Serve

If you’re unable to volunteer your time at the Shoppe itself, we’ve got you covered as well.  Main Street Mission is accepting donations of new items that can be placed in the Shoppe. For each Sunday in November, a member of our GONE Team will be collecting items at the back of the gym.
